APCITG is registered under the non-profit laws of the Canadian Federal Corporation since September 2016. As a certified interpretation and translation organization, our goal is to assist professional interpreters and translators gain recognition, have career advancement, engage in social events, and explore international opportunities by providing a solid and extensive platform.
As a proud home for professional Chinese interpreters and translators, APCITG is devoted to maximizing your potential as well as your well-being.
As a non-profit professional association, the Association of Can Professional Chinese Interpreters & Translators APCITG provides our members with endless knowledge and practical resources, connections to global professionals, opportunities for career and professional developments. All interpreter-trainees and trained interpreters are welcomed to apply to any category of the APCITG membership. Membership categories are tiered and the fee starts at just $100 per year.
Associate Member
Designed for all trainees of the Interpreter Training Program who are considering a career in the language interpretation/translation services industry or as a background qualification support.

Applicants must have one of the following training and or accreditation in order to be eligible for membership:

Members must have completed the Interpreter’s Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice training and must have achieved the certificate.

Members must have successfully passed the official certificate examination for language proficiency in the source language and target language for which they intend to provide interpretation. Both ILSAT and CILISAT are acceptable.

Interpreters accredited by the Ministry of Attorney General and/or the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Interpreters graduated with Master's in Conference Interpreting from Canadian Universities.
